Our History
Founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 1984, Jim Bender, Inc. began as a small and reliable refrigerated/temperature-controlled truckload carrier. Jim Bender Sr. had a vision for a trucking company that delivered quality, punctual service to customers from the shores of New England to the heights of the Rocky Mountains.
In 2018, a team of experienced managers, led by Barrett Bostick, broke off from a larger motor carrier and acquired Jim Bender, Inc. rebranding the business to Bender Transportation in 2022. With a vision driven by uncompromising core values, that group has broadened the service offerings and geographic reach to successfully grow the company by over 500%.
Since the onset of COVID-19, Bender has accelerated the evolution toward the digital transformation of global supply chains. Dialing in predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and enhanced tracking platforms is the blueprint to meet the new warp speed of lead times. The team at Bender boldly embraces this role.
Though we now serve customers throughout the US, we are still driven to cultivate strategic partnerships and provide on-time, next-generation service, with drivers who care about you and your competitive advantage.
